Waste Treatment Services

Our plants provide the biological treatment of waste before being discharged into trade effluent drainage to Northumbrian Water’s own biological treatment plant. Our plants demonstrate high efficacy of biodegradation before releasing to trade effluent.

All waste undergoes a pre-acceptance assessment, as well as environmental modelling, prior to receipt and determining which of our plants your waste can be treated within. These tests use Environmental Quotient (EQ) water calculations to prove treatability, Potential No Effect Concentration (PNEC) and ultimately, environmental compliance.

Our waste treatment plants operate under an Environmental Permit and are regulated under top-tier Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) to enable them to safely and compliantly treat hazardous waste types. Our facilities are also accredited to ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.

With over 30 years’ experience treating a variety of waste types, our team can work quickly and flexibly to meet your waste treatment needs. They are always on hand to support with your queries, and our competitive turnaround times enable customers’ waste to be tested and accepted within two hours of its arrival on site.
